Cardi B becomes the first female solo artist to win Best Rap Album at the Grammys

Bronx, New York native, Cardi B(real name: Belcalis Almanzar) made history at the Grammy’s tonight by becoming the first female solo artist to win “Best Rap Album” for her solo debut “Invasion Of Privacy”

The rapper who collected her award, whilst holding her(off again on again) husband, Offset (1/3 of Rap group, Migos) said on stage how nervous she was and in true Cardi moment said “Maybe I need to start smoking weed”, and then went on to thank Atlantic Records staff, her management and her daughter.

Just to say, it’s been a joy watching her progress from Instagram videos to reality tv (Love And Hip Hop New York) to her Rap Career starting with mixtapes to now making history at the Grammys with her debut album. It’s the stuff best sellers are made of.
